E-learning

The Center for Innovation and Development has successfuly finished project: E-learning educational modul about environment. The main aim of which was the creation of an educational module about the environment for civil servants employed by the capital, Prague.

What is e-learning and what are its benefits:

E-learning is educational method that utilizes networking and computers equipped with appropriate software and hardware. The education courses are then available via the Internet and they can have a self-learning format or an online classroom format.

The greatest advantages of e-learning is time flexibility (the flexibility to choose when and how intensively), time saved by not having to commute, interactivity in the form of test questions, the possibility to repeatedly go over chosen exercises and the increasing of one's computer literacy.

The aim of this project is to broaden the pallet of currently available educational programmes concerned with environmental issues. It is mandatory for all civil servants to attend such courses as part of their continuous education and in accordance with these requirements they will obtain a certificate upon completion of the module. Selected municipalities have cooperated on the development of the module and their employees have given feedback not only on content but also the design and functions of the end product. Modul is available to other municipalities in the capital as well as to an additional target groups - municipalities outside of the capital at elearning.cir.cz.
